An explosion rocked a Louisiana oil refinery on Monday, shaking homes and businesses.
One personw as reported injured by the 9:30am local time blast in a refinery in Garyville. Marathon Petroleum said in a statement. Video on social media showed heavy smoke from the site which is 40 miles rom New Orleans.
The state Department of Environmental Quality said some of the refinery was placed under a shelter-in-place order, and some workers were moved to a closed area to avoid contamination.
